home sweet home

Another Sirius Rising has come and gone in the blink of an eye, it seems. Hard to believe it's all over and I'm back home again. I had a fabulous time, and I'm so glad I went, but I'm glad to be home. My own bed! My own bathroom! Air conditioning! It's all good.

I have to confess that I wasn't good about keeping a daily journal to recount here. Sorry,

dalbino83! I was having too much fun doing not much of anything. I'm also really tired, and I'm deep into the new Harry Potter book, so I'll recount things throughout the week as I remember them. My brain isn't in any shape right now to produce a coherent narrative. Going to bed now. In my nice, dry, comfy bed that isn't an inflated mattress on the ground. :::insert contented sigh here:::

Welcome back! I'm glad you had a wonderful time. I second the call for *interesting* stories.

I totally get the "comforts of home" thing when I return from long gatherings. At least Brushwood has more flush toilets now, so those things are less of a novelty. But lying in a bed that's not directly on the ground in a room where the walls don't flutter in the wind and not having to worry about being awakened at an insane hour of the morning because one's room has turned into a sauna are all astonishing things after a week spent tenting in a field. :)
